The calculus and design of COINSA greenhouses, are carried out following the European Normatives on Greenhouse Construction, Spanish Normative UNE-EN13031-1 greenhouses. Project and construction. Part 1: Greenhouses for commercial production, elaborated by our Technical Team CEN/TC 284 Greenhouses.
1.- construction elements. All the structural elements are assembled with parts manufactured by means of die-cast and bolting together which allows a quick and simple assembly with no welding.
1.1- Capital. This is an essential part of the structure as it brings together the four main elements of the greenhouse: the arch, the canal and the crop supporting rods. At COINSA, we join two 2-mm galvanised layers instead of one which increases the resistance. We also have stop-ends for the arches that allow a perfect positioning of these and a balanced tension distribution.
1.2- Pillar. Immersion galvanisation in hot. Type of steel used is S235 JR- SAE 1008-DD-11..
Rectangular tube 100 x 50 x 2 mm.
Square tube 80 x 80 x 2 mm.
1.3- Omega. 1.5 mm thick Omegas are galvanised by means of immersion, whose main purpose is to hold the plastic with PEHD pegs. Quality of galvanisation thickness is in accordance with the Normatives UNE-EN 1179, UNE-37.5001 Y UNE-EN-ISO 1461. Omegas with a new design on the market and the stop-end at both sides to prevent the pegs from coming loose under strong wind conditions, and with no need to use self-tapping screws or sheet metal screws.

1.4- Canal. Collects water from the roof. 450 mm of expansion and 2-mm thick galvanisation. It is prominent because it is attached to the capital from the side instead of at the far end in order to avoid any water leaks into the greenhouse and permanent screw contact with water.
1.5- REINFORCING. The COINSA greenhouses are reinforced to withstand winds and high crop volume.

2.- Ventilations. This process is essential and it bears influence on inner climatic conditions of the greenhouse. A good ventilation system lets you control temperature, humidity and concentration of gases such as CO2 inside the covered area.
2.1- Passive Ventilation:
This is arranged in a series of windows and doors in the greenhouse.
2.1.1-Angled windows: The windows are placed on the roof of the greenhouse. The hot air weighs less than cold air so it concentrates in the top part of the greenhouse and exits through angled windows due to the “chimney effect”.
Types:
½ bow-flow ventilation
butterfly ventilation
fixed angled ventilation
½ bow-flow ventilation

2.1.2.- Lateral windows: these windows are located on the sides or walls of the greenhouse.
2.2.- Forced ventilation: heavy duty extractor fans. These are designed to establish an air flow by means of extractor fans that evacuate hot air from the greenhouse and replace it with the external air.

3.-Roofs.
The coating materials for the greenhouse are normally plastic films, hard polycarbonate or glass.
.
3.1.-PLASTIC
types:
Long-lasting yellow film
Long-lasting white film
Yellow heatproof
White heatproof
Multi-layer films

3.2.0.-
Polycarbonate sheets
within the polycarbonate range the most used are:
3.2.1.- corrugated polycarbonate:
3.2.2.- Cellular Polycarbonate
3.2.3.- Glass
This is the most effective heat-proofing material which also allows the light to go through. Obviously, it is used in very cold areas.

4.-Qualities.
4.1.- Galvanization: galvanisation in hot is used to cover iron and steel materials by means of a bath in a pot full of zinc melted at 450 ºC, which protects different materials against corrosion. At COINSA, we stand out for our quality in all the main elements that are in contact with water. These are galvanised in hot by means of immersion (Pillars, Canals and omegas).
4.2.- NORMATIVE ISO 9001:2000. COINSA has been granted the Normative ISO 9001:2000 covering manufacturing and assembly design of multi-tunnel greenhouses. The Normative 9001:2000 is an international standard that imposes strict mechanisms of quality management system, seeking to strengthen the product and client satisfaction.

This quality system obliges us to carry out a series of activities and completion of documents in order to assure that we are always producing products and services with the same levels of quality.
